Farewell, Kwip!
What a strange, wondrous journey it''s been!
I''m afraid this is my last DAoC-Warcry column. Yes, I''m sorry to say it, but
I''m retreating back into my hermit''s shelter of NeenerNeener.Net. Why? Well,
it''s a long story, and a very short one. The simple line is: I just wanna try
being me. When I write for other sites, I know I get exposure, but I''m never
sure if I''m getting exposure because of my affiliation with that site or because
people actually like reading my stuff. So I''m stopping writing at any other
website besides my own. I still write for the magazine Massive Online Gaming,
but hey, that''s a paying gig, so hopefully you''ll cut me a little slack on my
hypocrisy there...
No, this isn''t any sort of hint that I''m stopping DAoC. In fact, I just wrote
about my
latest adventures there. I play a lot of MOGs, but DAoC still is the most
PvP fun in my little book. There''s just something about laying siege to a keep
and being stepped on by a troll that makes my day.
So yes, I''m not going to be around here per se, but I''ll definitely
still be around. I''ll send out a news blurb to any DAoC news site that wants one
whenever I write DAoC stories. I''ve had a great time getting to know all of you,
and I hope you''ve enjoyed my adventures. I also hope you''ll continue to enjoy my
adventures in the future!
