By joining the Academy, young Elementalists-in-training begin to follow in the footsteps of Merlin, the most powerful Wizard that ever set foot upon the soil of Albion. Mastering the destructive elements, Wizards forsake knowledge of the air in order to work their ways with the power of fire, to devastating effect. In terms of pure damage, nothing withstands a Wizard, though they do have other talents as well.
Like the other magically inclined professions, Wizards are poorly equipped to handle an ambush, they rely on charring and freezing an enemy before it nears them. Should their opponent get too close, they may need to rely upon their staves, which while weak can carry the power of one of their enchantments to deal out a finishing blow or two.
As a party member, the Wizard holds a precarious position; while they can deal out immense amounts of damage, they also rely heavily on the protection of their sturdier companions to keep them from being trounced. Sometimes a Wizard may be more effective casting one of their powerful enchantments on the warriors, and using their elemental abilities to slow and freeze the enemy.
