Mentalist

The Mentalists is a very interesting casting class, having both damage spells as well as healing spells. Add to this mix some crowd control spells and you have quite a capable caster in many different situations, with a very different feel from most of the other casting classes. With their unique skills, they have the odd ability to heal themselves after a battle, a skill which is generally not nearly as useful for a caster as it is for a warrior type. Instead, for solo play, their most important abilities will be their damage spells as well as their different crowd control stuns. In a group, the crowd control becomes more important. A quick charm in a multiple creature battle can sway the tide very heavily, not to mention the always useful healing abilities. When grouped with other classes that can also do those, a Mentalist can fall back on their powerful DoT spells, as well as direct damage. |
